Finished wood-look flooring from an iFIXED flooring project

The installation starts below the flooring.

Existing damage, flatness, moisture conditions, floor height, and room use can change what is needed before installation. The product’s instructions and the conditions at your property guide the preparation. We define that work with the installation so it is clear what the estimate includes.

Replacement and installationPlan removal, preparation, installation, and disposal for the rooms in your scope.
Floor repairsShow the damaged area and the surrounding floor. Matching material and the extent of damage affect repair options.

Occupied homesDiscuss furniture, access routes, pets, and the rooms that need to remain usable while work is underway.

What to send for an estimate

  • Room measurements and wide photos showing how the rooms connect.
  • Close-ups of damage, humps, gaps, transitions, and areas where the floor moves.
  • The exact flooring product, quantity, and installation instructions if already purchased.
  • Who will move furniture, remove the old floor, handle baseboards, and dispose of debris.

Flooring installation & repair: common questions

Can I supply my own flooring?

Yes, when it suits the project. Share the product name, quantity, delivery status, and installation instructions. We can then separate installation labor from preparation, trim, and other materials.

Can you install over the existing floor?

That depends on the new product, the existing floor, and conditions underneath it. We need to check compatibility, condition, moisture, flatness, clearances, and the manufacturer’s instructions before deciding.

Can a damaged section be repaired instead of replacing the room?

Sometimes. Matching material, how the floor was installed, and the cause and extent of damage determine the options. Send a wide view and a close-up, and tell us whether spare flooring is available.

Are baseboards and transitions included?

They should be identified in the written scope. Tell us whether you want existing baseboards removed and reinstalled, new trim, or another finish detail so the estimate accounts for it.
