Remodeling, decks, and home improvements in Homosassa, Florida.
iFIXED brings flooring, finish work, doors, trim, decks, and renovation planning into one practical conversation.

Plan around how the space is used
Indoor and outdoor work connect quickly. A floor changes thresholds. A door changes the surrounding trim. A deck or entry has to work for the people who will use it. iFIXED starts with those relationships instead of treating every request as an isolated item.
Plan the route between the room and the outdoors
When a project includes a door, deck, or entry, show how people move through the area. Include the approach, threshold, stairs, and nearby surfaces in your photos. Explain which parts work well and which you want changed, including access needed while work is underway.
Explore deck, stair, and outdoor work for the exterior scope and doors and trim for the opening. When the inside floor or room is also changing, connect the plan with interior remodeling and flooring preparation and transitions.
Show the conditions before selecting materials
- Photograph the full area and any loose, damaged, or uneven section.
- Include approximate dimensions and the surfaces you want to retain.
- Describe everyday use and any access restrictions.
Review the progress views in our deck, stairs, and handrails record and the finished details in the covered entry record for examples of different scopes.
Make it easy to respond: a few honest photos and a plain description beat a long list of product names.

Building in Homosassa: what changes here
Who issues the permit. Homosassa is unincorporated — the Citrus County Building Division issues residential permits.
Two Homosassas, and the difference is enormous. The census draws Homosassa and Homosassa Springs as separate places, and they do not share a flood profile. Analysis of FEMA’s National Flood Hazard Layer puts nearly all of coastal Homosassa inside a Special Flood Hazard Area, including VE coastal high-hazard water, while inland Homosassa Springs along the US-19 corridor is mostly minimal-hazard Zone X. Two addresses ten minutes apart can face completely different requirements, so we check the parcel rather than the town name.
Manufactured housing is a large share here. Inland Homosassa Springs is over half mobile and manufactured homes — far above the county rate. That changes the work: attachment, skirting, steps, decks and additions on a manufactured home follow different rules than on a site-built house, and not every scope is permissible. Tell us the structure type up front and we will tell you honestly whether it is work we should be doing.
On the river side, exposure drives material choice for decks, stairs and railings, and restoration repair after storm or flood damage is a recurring conversation rather than a rare one.
iFIXED crews work Homosassa from our base in Citrus Springs. Send the property address with your request so we can confirm scheduling for your location.
Permitting, flood and wind details above are drawn from the issuing authority, FEMA’s National Flood Hazard Layer and Census American Community Survey 5-year estimates. Requirements are set per parcel by the authority having jurisdiction — confirm your address with them before relying on any of it.
