Citrus County storm response · Veteran-owned

Disaster recovery in Citrus County that can reach the job.

After a hurricane or a hard storm, the first problem is getting a crew and materials to the property. iFIXED runs high-clearance 4x4 trucks out of Citrus Springs for access, debris clearing, temporary protection, and the documented rebuild that follows.

What we do after a storm

Storm work runs in an order. Get there. Make it safe. Stop more damage. Write down what happened. Then rebuild. iFIXED is a veteran-owned, SBA-certified SDVOSB, and we handle each of those stages or tell you plainly who should.

Access and assessmentHigh-clearance 4x4 trucks carry crew, tools, and materials down washed-out, debris-covered, or soft roads to see the property and report back.
Debris clearingDriveways, entries, and work areas opened up. Downed limbs, fence sections, and storm debris cut, stacked, and staged for pickup or hauled.
Emergency tarps and board-upNon-permanent tarps over roof openings and plywood over broken windows and doors, so the next rain does not add to the loss.
Tear-out of wet materialSoaked drywall, insulation, baseboard, and flooring removed to a defined line so the structure can dry.
Damage documentationDated photos, measurements, and a room-by-room written scope your insurance adjuster can check line by line.
Repair and rebuildDrywall, flooring, cabinets, doors, trim, paint, decks, and fences put back under one scope by the same company that opened it up.

What comes first

If water is still coming in, say so on the first call. Temporary protection goes on before anything else. Permanent roofing belongs to a licensed roofing contractor, and structural drying belongs to a mitigation company with the equipment for it. We work around both and pick up the rebuild, which is covered in detail on our restoration repair and rebuild page.

Call 911 first for downed power lines, a gas smell, or anyone hurt or trapped. iFIXED is a contractor, not an emergency service. We start once the property is safe to work on.

What to send

  • The property address, and whether the road and driveway are passable by car.
  • Photos of the damage from outside and inside, wide shots first.
  • Whether power, water, and gas are on or shut off.
  • Whether anyone is living in the home and which rooms have to stay usable.
  • Your claim number and adjuster contact, if you have filed with insurance.

The fleet

Two trucks for the roads a pickup cannot finish.

A work truck and trailer stop where the pavement gives out. Both of these are former U.S. military vehicles, now owned and operated by iFIXED, and each has a different job.

How a response runs

Four steps, in this order.

Step 01

Call or send photos

Give us the address, what happened, and what the road looks like.

Step 02

We reach the property

The right truck for the road goes out. We look, photograph, and tell you what we see.

Step 03

Make it safe and dry

Access cleared, openings covered, wet material out. No permanent work starts yet.

Step 04

Scope, then rebuild

You get a written, itemized scope for you and your adjuster. Repair starts once it is agreed.

Disaster recovery in Citrus County: common questions

Does iFIXED do disaster recovery work in Citrus County?

Yes. iFIXED is based in Citrus Springs and handles post-storm access, debris clearing, emergency tarps and board-up, tear-out of wet material, damage documentation, and the repair and rebuild that follows.

Can you reach my property if the road is washed out or covered in debris?

Often, yes. We run a 2½-ton LMTV cargo truck and a HMMWV, both high-clearance 4x4s, for roads and driveways that stop a pickup and trailer. We do not drive through moving water or past closures set by emergency management. Tell us what the road looks like when you call.

Do you put on emergency roof tarps?

Yes. We install non-permanent emergency tarps over roof openings and board up broken windows and doors to stop further water damage. Permanent roof repair is a separate job for a licensed roofing contractor.

Do you remove trees and storm debris?

We clear driveways, entries, and work areas, and cut, stack, and stage or haul storm debris from the property. Trees on power lines are the utility's job, and large trees resting on a structure may need a tree service with a crane before we can work.

Will you work with my insurance adjuster or FEMA paperwork?

We give you dated photos, measurements, and an itemized written scope by room and trade that your adjuster can check line by line. We are not a public adjuster and do not negotiate your claim. Homeowners apply for federal disaster assistance themselves at DisasterAssistance.gov, and our written estimate can support that application.

How do I avoid storm-chaser contractors?

Look up any contractor in the Florida DBPR license search before you sign, ours included. Get the scope and the price in writing before work starts. Be careful with anyone who wants full payment up front or pushes you to sign on the spot.

Can prime contractors and public agencies hire iFIXED for storm work?

Yes. iFIXED is an SBA-certified SDVOSB with a SAM.gov registration, UEI VSGXWR1ALQB7. Send the statement of work, location, and schedule, and we will tell you what fits.

What areas do you cover after a storm?

Citrus County first, then Marion, Sumter, Hernando, and Levy counties, with a staffed team in Tampa. Send the property address so we can confirm.
